Sorry for the silence!

The title says it all! I have been quite silent lately. I will say that I have been very busy during this time. Got some cool new things cooking up as far as Spaced Out goes. I am really excited to start showing some new stuff!

There is also a number of collaborative projects under way that will be teased SOON! I have been working with some very talented artists and we have some cool things coming everyone's way! Soon!

Above are some Saplorites that will be getting remolded in a bigger gang mold this week. There will be an assortment of them along with some cool additions soon as well!

Updates on everything shortly!

Shipped!

Everything from the store debut has been shipped out as of Monday afternoon! I am super stoked to have had you guys apart of this latest assortment. Its been super fun making these guys! I hope that everyone likes the stuff they got.

For those of you that picked up a Saplorite, be on the lookout for some oddballs! Some of these guys glow in the dark and some of them change in different lighting! It will be fun to see which ones you scored.

Be sure to hop over to the forums and post some pics of you hauls! I want to see who ended up with some of those Saplorites. I am already rolling into the next thing "toy" wise. After a small decompression I am returning to one of my favorite parts of toy making, sculpting!

New Tree Action

Been keeping super busy on the Treeborg project as of late. I had a sit down with the father of glyos and he gave me a great idea to go along with the Treeborgs. Its amazing how this insane man thinks! Anyway, the idea was to make a figure with some of the already existing Treeborg parts.

Some of the above pictures are WIP shots of the Treeborg soldier (working title) utilizing the foot part of the Treeborg( also Matts idea). I still need to add some armor and tree effects to him, but should make molding soon! I want to this release to have a few good elements to them, so lets hope this little guy makes the grade!

And finally, I got my hands on Matt Walkers new Monster Kolor resin dye! I must say, his products are top quality and nothing shy of spectacular. I can't say enough great stuff about this dye! And thanks for the extras Chooch!

Some more WIP shots and other swaz soon!

Cast And Crew

Been fooling around with some casting equipment these past couple of weeks. I am still learning a lot about how this all works. The pics I threw up show some urethane glyos compatible heads I have been working on. Ventros, Is the helmeted warrior above and the cube shaped dude is Acrobot. One of these days when I get some more time I will write some of the background for these guys. I have a story to tell. These are by no means perfect. There are some extra procedures and equipment that I don't have. Yet. However I will be hopefully be moving all my stuff into a studio and be getting a pressure pot and making new molds. I want to really get all the detail out of my sculpts and perfect this process. I want to personally thank Marty, The Godbeast, for answering some questions I had about this. Him being a very good friend of mine, and a superb maker of the fine toys, I knew he was my go-to-guy. I also want to thank Jesse for all the inspiration that bearded son of a bitch gave me. Most of these heads were sculpted in the seat he paints in. I feel honored to have a friend like him. Also I want to thank Matt for being such an incredible inspiration to me and letting me tell my story. He has really brought us a cool and innovative toy line that I truly love! I am unsure what I will do with the casted heads I have. I mainly have been practicing with colors and such. I might smooth over the imperfections and paint them up. Ill be posting more over the coming weeks as things rapidly progress...
