There is also a number of collaborative projects under way that will be teased SOON! I have been working with some very talented artists and we have some cool things coming everyone's way! Soon!

Above are some Saplorites that will be getting remolded in a bigger gang mold this week. There will be an assortment of them along with some cool additions soon as well!

Updates on everything shortly!

Slow and Steady

Sorry for the massive lack of posts/updates as of late! April was a busy month this year around. I have been working on a new figure however. I started doing some concept drawings of him during the Treeborg phase, and can't wait to complete him! Ill post some WIP shots soon!

Also, be on the lookout for a special collaborative soon as well !

Shipped!

Everything from the store debut has been shipped out as of Monday afternoon! I am super stoked to have had you guys apart of this latest assortment. Its been super fun making these guys! I hope that everyone likes the stuff they got.

For those of you that picked up a Saplorite, be on the lookout for some oddballs! Some of these guys glow in the dark and some of them change in different lighting! It will be fun to see which ones you scored.

Be sure to hop over to the forums and post some pics of you hauls! I want to see who ended up with some of those Saplorites. I am already rolling into the next thing "toy" wise. After a small decompression I am returning to one of my favorite parts of toy making, sculpting!

Thank You!

Thank you to those who participated in last night's debut of the Spaced Out Design Shop! Last night's turnout exceeded my expectations, and your support is greatly appreciated! I just wanted you all to know you made the grand opening extra special for me, and forever have my thanks!

A good amount of time has been invested into this project. After sculpting the Glyos compatible Treeborg parts, Matt inspired me on possibly doing another figure to go with these guys. We fooled around with the parts and he had some great ideas for a new figure. The Saplorite figure was planted in my head after that session.

If you look closely on the Saplorite figure, you will find a part of the sculpt is very reminiscent of Matt's style with a rooted twist. I took one of the handcast parts he had modified and built around it. Can you find it?

A very special thanks goes out to Matt for all his help, advice, guidance and input throughout this project. He has a strong impact on the things I have created and I am eternally grateful for everything he has done!

Another special thanks goes out to Marcus for putting the site together. He spent a lot of time and effort making this thing right. Also, he brought a lot of originality to the site and I couldn't be happier with the result! Thanks Bince!

And last but certainly not least, a special thanks to Jesse for providing his awesome artwork for this launch. He has been a huge support in all my creativity and I am lucky to work with him on special projects. You're the best bro!

Well, that was a mouthful! In terms of last night's sale, the shipping process will begin next week. So be on the lookout for notices then. Thanks again to everyone who checked out the latest oddities, and there is much more to come in 2013!

Update

Sooner than you think

Cast, Paint, Repeat... Sleep??

Its been a super busy couple of months! I have been amping up some things for this launch that is (hopefully) emerging later this month! There has been a few add-ons along the way , that I hope will enhance this project. Its been super fun ( and painfully tiring ) getting all this made!

Also, there may be some killer art smatterings to go along with this launch by a very handsome bearded man! Can't wait!

So here are a few WIP shots and some casts that I have been working on the past few days. More stuff soon!

New Swaz !!!

That's not a real human arm clearly, however it is a very awesome cast of one! I took a trip down to Reynolds Advanced Materials a few days ago and got some supplies. These dudes sling all the materials that Smooth-On offers and more! I was super stoked to see there was a facility sort of close to me. No more shipping! Hah! Anyway, I have been taking a few side jobs on myself as well as wrapping the Treeborg release up. My good buddies Seth Lampert and Drew Norton( You can check him and his stuff on instagram @Aparkernorton)  have been keeping me busy with their awesome new projects. Both of these dudes have been working hard on these guys and now they will be selling them respectively soon! So stayed tuned for that!

The Treeborg project is almost done! The past few months I have been busting my rump trying to make this release a good one! I really want this launch to offer a good variety of original handcast treats, so I hope you all like! I am going to be cranking on some more Treeborg mini figures and then its launch time! I will also be teaming up with Marcus of Onell to get this site running properly as well! A lot more to come, so stay posted!

Complete!

Whew! After many many hours of sculpting, the Treeborg mini figure is complete! More details on this guy and more soon!

New Tree Action

Been keeping super busy on the Treeborg project as of late. I had a sit down with the father of glyos and he gave me a great idea to go along with the Treeborgs. Its amazing how this insane man thinks! Anyway, the idea was to make a figure with some of the already existing Treeborg parts.

Some of the above pictures are WIP shots of the Treeborg soldier (working title) utilizing the foot part of the Treeborg( also Matts idea). I still need to add some armor and tree effects to him, but should make molding soon! I want to this release to have a few good elements to them, so lets hope this little guy makes the grade!

And finally, I got my hands on Matt Walkers new Monster Kolor resin dye! I must say, his products are top quality and nothing shy of spectacular. I can't say enough great stuff about this dye! And thanks for the extras Chooch!

Some more WIP shots and other swaz soon!
