Grand Opening Tonight!

The day is finally here! The grand opening of the Spaced Out Design store will be Tonight, Thursday, March 14th at 9pm EST.


There will be a smattering of custom glyos pieces, along with some hand cast parts and figures. I will be posting more stuff as we get closer to tonight's opening. Hope to see you there!

Also, the site has had a complete make-over thanks to Marcus! Marc and I have been going back and forth like mad men. He truly put a lot of hard work into this and I couldn't be happier. More soon !

Back in Action!

Whew! It is hard to believe its been practically a month since NYCC. I am still trying to straighten myself after that crazy show! I had the privilege to meet many incredible artists from all over the world there. It was awesome making new friends and breaking bread with these people! Thanks again To Matt And Jesse for all of their input for this convention, you guys are the best!

Finally back from NYCC and other out-of-state travels. Its good to be home and back in the studio working on stuff. I have a few projects in the works (glyos related ) that Id like to share with everyone. Also, I am going to be working with Marcus from Onell beginning of December to get a few things rolling here on the site. The handsome rock star will be getting this site running properly and hopefully the Spaced Out Design store will open with some special customs before the years end, along with some other content! Marc is good with wrangling crazy people like Matt and Jesse , so he should have no problem with me, hopefully! Hah!

Super excited about these new pieces I have been working on. The Tree-Borg has been something I had been thinking for awhile and wanted to bring to life. There is a few pieces to the Tree-Borg including ; A Head, Shoulder piece(reversible), Tree-Cannon, and Foot/Base. The sculpts represent both organic and inorganic properties.  I can't wait to mold this dude up and get some customs together! Got a few other things on tap as well, but the Tree-Borg is going to come to fruition first. Also, another evolved version of one of my Characters -Cy'Reen. This is a more enhanced version of here. Had some fun sketching some ideas up and landed here. Ill be posting more WIP pictures as I go with all this stuff and more on a potential December offering soon!

NYCC 2012

The con is almost among us! I have been working adamantly on a variety of hand cast things for this convention for almost a year it seems. Hah. Lets get started on the awesomeness!

First, I want to personally give a huge thanks to Jesse Moore of Rawshark! My bearded buddy did an incredible painting for the various characters I have created. I wanted to back these things with some killer artwork. We have been working on various project both independently and together for awhile and we take a very deep appreciation when it comes to art. Without getting into to much bro on bro love, I just want to say thanks for contributing a excellent piece of artwork to go along with these weirdos! You are the best!

Secondly, I want to thank Matt Doughty of Onell . This other bearded lunatic has been an important role in my creativity as well as Mr. Moore. Matt has been an incredible and influential friend to me. He has taken the time out to shoot some awesome pictures of this stuff for me and I couldn't be happier with the results. He has a way of capturing things(especially toys) that is unlike most. I need to get myself a digital camera and takes notes. Haha. Once again thanks to both of my friends for helping with some crucial swaz!

Alrighty, NYCC is tomorrow and Onell's booth is going to be jam packed with some super talented people! I am contributing some pretty cool handcast heads and attachments compatible with the glyos system, as well as some sweet customs. Here we have a handful of what will be available this weekend! I will be at the Onell Design Booth Thursday, Friday, and possibly at some other times. Come on down to Booth#3216 and check out what I have been working on! I cant wait to see everyone out there, Its going to be a blast!

Getting Ready For NYCC Part 1

Production Heavy

The last week and a half has been an extremely busy one for myself. I have molded over 7 glyos heads/parts and have two more going. Just updating as I go with some pics of what I have cooking for NYCC. Can't wait!

Cloaks on Deck!

 

Just got some new silicone the other day from smooth-on. I have been adamantly waiting to pour some new molds of my glyos compatible head sculpts. I had previously done a few molds with some lower tear strength silicone, but after talking with Marty(The God Beast) I got the "good stuff". Here is a quick shot of some heads that I casted out of the new molds. I used some quick snap cure urethane just to see if there were any imperfections. The results pleased me thankfully! Thanks again Marty you are a true friend! More to come soon!

Assembled Forces

Finally got around to painting up some of my hand cast resin heads! Ive been so busy with working the kinks out of my molding and casting, there was no time for fun! Luckily , I have great friends that help me out a ton! Without them, I would be more of a disaster. Hah!

 Here we see three of the heads that will be available soon! From left to right we have ; Ventros, Cy'reen, and Rel! As for right now, I am getting new materials to really start producing some of these heads and some customs to follow. Aiming my guns at NYCC for an official release. Still have a ton to do and not enough time to do it. Just want to take the time to say a huge thanks to : Jesse, Matt, and Marty( The God Beast ) for all being such a huge part in my creativity and my life. You guys are the best!
